LINDEN COURT RESIDENTS FOR LUNCH
On Wednesday, we welcomed 15 residents from Linden Court for lunch. It was
such a lovely lunch time, with the residents and children enjoying a chat
and getting to know each other. The residents were very complimentary about
the children and how well they spoke. One resident described them as “little
rays of sunshine.” We hope to arrange more events like this, to forge
connections across our community.
On Wednesday afternoon, we continued with our theme of “Let’s Connect” as we
took part in a whole school Children’s Mental Health Workshop. The children
from reception to Year 6 worked in mixed groups with a member of staff to
make a “Let’s Connect” jigsaw and create a “Let’s Connect” paper chain. We
also had the opportunity to talk with children we might not usually work
with and find out more about them, from the number of pets they had to their
favourite food to their favourite story.
