Fantastic visit to Richmond School & Sixth Form science department

Year 5 and Mrs Martin had a fantastic visit this week to Richmond School & Sixth Form science department. They spent the morning in a secondary school science laboratory and were introduced to laboratory equipment.  Pupils conducted various experiments looking at chemical reactions, in particular looking at reversible and irreversible changes and the signs of a chemical reaction. Thank you to Richmond School for introducing our pupils to the amazing world of Chemistry – it has really sparked enthusiasm for the subject and raised awareness of STEM careers amongst our Year 5 pupils.

We have lots of exciting Science learning opportunities coming up, including a visit from a bee keeper and a mechanical engineer and many other inspiring activities to improve science capital for all pupils during British Science week which starts on Friday 11th March.
