Rishi Sunak cuts the ribbon on new climbing frame

Rishi Sunak MP and Chancellor for the Exchequer, cuts the ribbon on the new climbing frame in Early Years.

Mr Sunak performed the official opening of the new climbing frame installed in our Early Years outdoor area.

Some of our children had the opportunity to perform for him and ask questions. The children thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and it was a superb chance to meet a member of parliament.  These are some of their comments:

‘…this experience was phenomenal. Then we got to sing our school song and he was cheering at the end!’ Finlay

‘I had no idea he would be so friendly.’ Felicity

‘He said, before he left, those words ‘aspire, believe, achieve’ are so catchy!’ Evelyn

‘Thank you Mr Sunak for coming to Croft School.’ Kitty

‘I realised that he is a normal person with a warm smile and a big heart.’ Amelie

Boys Area Football Final

Congratulations to our upper KS2 boys who managed to get themselves into the area football finals in York. The boys did amazingly well but unfortunately, they did not manage to get themselves out of the group stages after competing in some very close games. The boys eventually finished 6th out of 450 schools. What a fantastic achievement! Thank you to Mr Robinson for all of the work that he has done with the boys to prepare them for yesterday’s tournament and thank you to Mr Percovich who came into school this week to help too.

Y5/Y6 Boys into Football Final

Congratulations to our fantastic Y5/6 Boys Football Team who won the next stage of LA football championships and will now take part in the County Finals in January. Good luck boys! Thank you to Mr Robinson for all of his expert help in getting them to be ‘tournament ready’!

Cross Country Final

Congratulations to four of our pupils who competed in the County Cross-Country Championships at Dalby Forest earlier this week. They did amazingly well to get to this stage in the competition.
