Welcome to Croft Church of England School website

It is my privilege to welcome you to Croft Church of England Primary School, a caring and inclusive village school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

At Croft, our vision, “Be happy: aspire, believe, achieve,” is rooted in Jesus’ teaching of the wise and foolish builders. We want every child to build their life, learning and character on firm foundations so that they can grow securely, confidently and purposefully, both during their time with us and beyond primary school.

We believe that true happiness comes from helping children to recognise their worth, develop their gifts and become compassionate, confident and resilient young people. Through the gifts of independence, perseverance and respect, we encourage pupils to make wise choices, overcome challenges, care for others and believe in what they can achieve.

As Headteacher, I am committed to creating a school culture in which high expectations are combined with warmth, encouragement and strong relationships. Children learn best when they feel safe, listened to and inspired. Our staff work together to provide an ambitious, engaging curriculum that supports every pupil to thrive academically, socially and spiritually.

Croft is proud of its Christian foundation and its close relationship with St Peter’s Church. Our faith and values shape our curriculum, worship, relationships and daily life. They guide us to treat one another with dignity and kindness and to ensure that our school is a place where everyone belongs.

We recognise that education is a partnership between pupils, families, staff, governors, the church and the wider community. By listening to one another and working together, we can provide every child with the strongest possible foundations for their future.

I hope our website gives you a sense of the warmth, ambition and joy that characterise life at Croft. We are very proud of our school and warmly welcome families and visitors to come and experience our community for themselves.

Please contact the school administrator, Mrs Kate Banks on 01325 720528 to arrange this.
