Friends of the School are a group of parents who organise fund raising and social events to support the school. Their fantastic efforts raise considerable amounts of money which is used to purchase equipment and resources to enhance children’s experiences. They meet regularly in school; dates and information are published in the newsletter.
PUTTING THE FUN IN FUNDRAISING!
Friends of Croft bring parents and families together to raise extra funds for our children’s school whilst having a bit of fun too!
Over the years many ‘little’ extras have been purchased including completely resurfacing the outdoor ‘soft’ play area, purchasing I pads, apps, Smartboards and a new sound system and screen for the school hall. We are now fund raising to create a curriculum kitchen.
We hold traditional events such as a Christmas Fair and Summer BBQ after Sports Day interspersed with social events and children’s discos.
There are regular members on the committee who have children throughout the school. We welcome new members especially those with children just joining the school so we can keep our ideas fresh and exciting. It is important to us that we have representatives from across the school.
We can never have enough help whether it is at meetings, setting up & manning stalls, making cups of tea or cakes! We are extremely grateful for all the support shown by parents, families and the school staff.
For meeting dates or to find out what we are up to next take a quick look at the school noticeboard or in the newsletter each Friday.
